Clifton Suspension Bridge, Bristol - September 2011

Heritage Stone Access worked alongside Nimbus Conservation to restore the Clifton Suspension Bridge to its former glory. After years of exposure to the elements, the sandstone abutments were in need of extensive restoration.

Maintenance work was carried out on the natural buttress of the Clifton Suspension Bridge as part of a larger project. Heritage Stone Access worked along side other contractors to help make a difficult project a success.

Heritage Stone Accessalso installed Maybe Brackets to support a scaffolding, allowing easy access for the conservationists. This project was a perfect example of both Heritage Stone Access specialisms, combining expert stone conservation knowledge and professional rope access.
